The First Time I Saved for Something I Wanted

I just turned three years old and I saved my money from chores and birthday gifts because I wanted a bear. I kept saving until one day I finally had enough.

I went to Build a Bear and made Dragon the Bear all by myself. That is when I learned that if I save, I can get something I really want.

How I Earned $2 Dollars!!

I was playing a game with my daddy and wanted to play again, but I needed two dollars. I decided to ask the lady at the resturant if I could help clean the stools to make the money. She said yes, so I cleaned them and she gave me $2 dollars!! I was so excited.

Parent Note: We gave her the money first so she could hand it to him after he finished.

How My Little Business Started

One day I asked my daddy if I could start my own business. I wanted to sell my drawings so I could save money for toys and for my ice cream stand. I told him my idea and he said we could try it together.

We got paper, markers, and paint, and I started drawing monsters and dinosaurs and everything that popped into my mind. I was so excited to make art that I could sell. That was the day my little business began, and it made me feel proud because I was working for something I really wanted.

Selling My First Drawing

The day I sold my first drawing was a big moment for me. I made a silly monster picture and someone bought it. My daddy taught me about cost, profit, and margins. I learned what things cost, how much I made, and what I got to keep.

Selling that first drawing helped me understand how a little business works and made me feel proud.

Thank you for being part of my journey.
